Q&complAints #715: Rebus Puzzle

What is your favorite rebus puzzle?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! Frankly, it’s puzzling to me why you wouldn’t.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What is your favorite rebus puzzle?

I want to make my very own—never before designed—rebus puzzle. You may not recognize the term, but you certainly know what they are.

HEELS

That’s an easy one: Head Over Heels.

Scrambled Eggs, of course. See, you get the gist. I was thinking I’d create a rebus puzzle for Country. Country has two distinct syllables: [KUHN-tree]. We see and hear the second syllable, [-tree], simply enough. That first syllable, [KUHN-] has no discernable meaning all by its lonesome. Say it quickly, though, allowing the leading “T” from the second syllable to meld into the end of that first syllable. Did you hear it? Allow another moment of stimulation to promote the lubrication necessary for its full penetration … otherwise, see you next Tuesday. I venture to assume we’re on the same page when asking you, where do these trees grow? And I have soooo many questions about the eating of its fruit! Perhaps it’s best that the infamous [KUHNT-tree] exists only as a rebus puzzle. Labia and clitorises growing like leaves and fruit from the tree’s branches. Its trunk looking like a giant Georgia O’Keeffe painting.
