Q&complAints #710: Meaningless Number

What is the most meaningless number?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! I care 0 if any-1 wants 2 comment; 3 minutes from now I’d 4-get all about the online high-5.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What is the most meaningless number?

Net worth is meaningless. A million dollars of equity in your home and no outstanding debt, but you don’t have 2 pennies to rub together. And the government stopped making pennies, so good luck there. You relied on a sky-high credit score to get that loan which allowed you to eventually own your home. However, I don’t put much credence in a number that goes down when an inquiry is made as to what that number is … or, I guess, was. Age truly is “just a number.” Hit 35 and meet the age qualification to become POTUS. Age doesn’t really matter again until the magic number 65. BMI is about the stupidest health-related metric ever devised. Muscle is denser than fat, yet BMI accounts only for height and weight. Pain on a 1-10 scale is all but meaningless given the lack of a standardized baseline. I’ve been lucky to never know real pain, so I have no clue what a 10 would be. I assume natural childbirth would be about a 15, though. Surely no quantity is more meaningless than infinity (∞). Infinity is infinite, yet an infinite number of infinites exist. WT∞F!?
