Q&complAints #718: Car Wash

Isn’t it about time you gave your car a good washing?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! Maybe you even have a discount code for your favorite car wash that you can share.

. . .here are my thoughts.

Isn’t it about time you gave your car a good washing?

There are 2 types of people in this world:

  1. Those who queue up on a warm winter’s day, and
  2. Those who appreciate a long, hard downpour.

Ever notice the line at your local car wash on that first 40-degree winter day after weeks of nothing but snow, ice, and frigid winds? Of course you have. Those filthy, salt and grime-covered cars cause the traffic jam that extends through the next two traffic lights. What you’ll never see is me in one of those lines. I know they say road salt can accelerate rust and corrosion. Who’s “They”? It’s probably Big Car Wash spreading those rumors. My car will get “washed” in the warmer months. Like when I’m at work and hear what sounds like the A/C unit kicking on while in desperate need of maintenance. I soon realize it’s actually a deluge of rain. It’s then that “Free car wash!” exits my lips. The car I speak of is a 2008 Toyota RAV4 that I only remember being formally washed three times. None of which I instigated. And none of which I paid for—despite the bill.
