. . .here are my thoughts.

What sci-fi technology are you glad has never been invented?

I was a The Rocky Horror Picture Show virgin until a few days ago.  Technically I’m still a Rocky Horror virgin since I’ve never gone to a midnight theatrical showing.  Since the film was released in 1975, the LGBTQIA+ community has gravitated toward it for its liberating portrayal of alternate lifestyles.  I can’t help but interpret the film as an insult to the entire community.  There’s an entire song in the movie that says they’re transvestites from the planet Transexual, in the galaxy Transylvania.  Maybe I’m just being a contrarian here, but the song seems to express that anyone who is not heterosexual and cisgender is alien to planet Earth.  Obviously, I’m not the progenitor of the thoughts and feelings of a vast group of people I’m alien to.  Interpret how you will.  What is certainly not open to interpretation, however, is the ridiculousness of the anti-matter gun near the film’s end.  When anti-matter and normal matter interact, they annihilate, releasing a massive amount of energy!  Good thing an anti-matter gun hasn’t been invented; a single gram of anti-matter would cause an explosion that those transvestites on Transexual might see.

  1. Them inhabiting the earth openly and everywhere. We have enough trouble with immigrants now. That would be a whole new kettle of worms
