What is your favorite uncommon word beginning with “K”?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! And there better not be any smart-asses out there who type “K” 3 consecutive times!

. . .here are my thoughts.

What is your favorite uncommon word beginning with “K”?

kibitzer: (noun) someone who offers unwanted advice or comment

While playing poker at the casino recently, the fella to my right asked me why someone would “check in the dark.” Apparently my obnoxiously large, over-the-ear, noise-cancellation Bose headphones weren’t enough of a signal that I didn’t want to talk to anyone. With his simple question, the well-meaning lad could in no way be labeled a kibitzer. Nor would I have been, had I limited my answer to a sentence or two.

“Most people who call a pre-flop raise from out of position have no leading range. Thus, they just check dark to the pre-flop aggressor.”

Simple. To the point. Informative. His head nod signaled acceptance of the answer as sufficient. However, I was nowhere close to done giving a free lesson!

“Then again … give away your strategy … range-advantage … rare board textures where donking is correct … nut-advantage … smart in a game with a shot-clock … could just be an idiot!”

I’d say I ventured into kibitzer territory right around the third time I interrupted his efforts to begin a new conversation with the lady to his right.
