. . .here are my thoughts.

You have no idea how long a baseball game will last.  They go and go and go and . . . until there’s a winner.  Except in 2002 when I bet Over 14.5 runs in the All-Star game.  I was guaranteed a 15th run once the game was tied 7-7.  That is, until Commissioner Bud Selig declared the game a tie after 11 innings.  I lost my bet!  Since then, I’ve had no use for baseball in my life.  Honestly, if both teams are equally matched after 9 innings, just let the game end in a tie.  Baseball negatively affects me in other ways, too.  ESPN sometimes schedules soccer to air following a baseball game.  And, as I said, baseball can go looooooong.  Do they cut the feed to the extra inning game to televise the entire soccer match?  Nope.  They run a chyron on the screen stating which of the other ESPN networks the soccer game’s been relegated to.  Worse yet, they’ll simply finish out the baseball marathon, then switch to soccer, noting:

  1. Cigarettes. They smell. They look gross. I’m glad I never tried them. They tend to run a person’s life.
