Q&complAints #645 : Yearn to Travel

What part of the world do you yearn to travel to?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! If you won’t travel the miniscule distance down to the comments, you’ll never make it all the way to Australia.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What part of the world do you yearn to travel to?

I’m not one who yearns to travel much.  I really don’t care greatly for oceans, lakes, beaches, or all that relentless sun constantly beating down on me that accompanies such trips.  I’d prefer to decrease my chances of being introduced to the silent killer known as melanoma.  Ventures to national parks are exciting, but the travel, hiking, and limited access often leave me with an overall anticlimactic experience.  Relaxing getaways are little more than spending money to do exactly what you could have done at home, just in a more expensive environment.  Exploring a new city is often so stressful that you need a vacation once you get back from that “vacation”!  If I had to travel out of my geographical region, there’s little chance I’d get to avoid all the above drawbacks—something would have to give.  I’d probably go to the Caribbean.  If nothing else, I could talk to some locals and finally learn how they pronounce their region of island paradise: [care-ih-BEE-an] or [cuh-RIB-be-an].  Caribbean is one of those words I alternate saying both ways, even within a single conversation.  Doubtful one vacation would change that.
