What song has the worst lyrics?
There’s little more annoying in life than when you want to Google a word or concept you can’t think off, but you have no idea of how to search for it. It’s simply ungoogleable! You begin by typing a string of words or phrases that get you nowhere near the answer that’s right on the tip of your tongue. A term you’ve learned and used a hundred times. An exact phrase you’ve proceeded to forgot on just as many occasions. You can think of no synonyms to use in your search, nor will a coherent string of words come to you to describe it. You get derelict answer after derelict answer, serving only to further distance your brain from its desired term. My most recent example of this very situation occurred while trying to think of the word “ironic.” And isn’t it ironic? Don’t you think? Once you somehow finally find the term—whether through your own volition, or that of sentient AI—you immediately conceive of multiple ways you could have easily searched for it. Not least, in this case, would have been “Alanis Morissette lyrics that aren’t what they claim to be.”
