What is the worst feature someone can have?

Some people might say that disliking children is the worst feature someone can have. Fair enough. I can dig the message of Whitney Houston’s Greatest Love of All. I’ll tell you a feature that’s even worse than straight up avoiding kids—talking to them like children! Now don’t get me wrong, that ubiquitous lie of, “We’ll be there in 15 minutes,” is perfectly reasonable even if you know full well you’re still over an hour away. How else would you get them to shut their incessant, little yappers? Better still, indulge them in stimulating conversation. Kids are sponges when it comes to soaking up knowledge. They want to learn. Otherwise, why would every kid’s favorite word be “Why”? Surely you can find something of benefit to share. Shove as many concepts as possible into their developing gray matter. And for God’s sake, don’t talk down to them. Speak as though they’re small in physical stature, but large in mental capacity. I’ll go as far as to argue that using baby-talk with a child over 6 months of age should be met with jail time equivalent to the child’s age minus 6 months.
