. . .here are my thoughts.

What would be a strange phobia?

I’ve never read an Agatha Christie novel.  Thus, when watching the 2022 adaptation of her novel, Death on the Nile, I had no idea whodunit.  All I knew about the murder-mystery author were vague mentions surrounding her mysterious disappearance in December 1926.  Christie ultimately claimed amnesia when found 11 days later.  Look it up!  Real-world mystery involving a mystery writer … or a ploy to sell books?  She didn’t want to kill anyone or die herself, so, under the circumstances I suppose that was the best she could muster.  As Death on the Nile progressed, I wondered how close the film held to Christie’s original written work.  Turns out the movie changed race, ethnicity, and sexual preference of some of the book’s characters—helping the film progress from 1937, into the 21st century.  I doubt Christie ventured across any mixed-race, Middle Eastern, lesbian couples on her 11-day northern voyage.  Or maybe she did!  The sight alone may have been more than enough of a fright to precipitate memory loss in an Englishwoman in the 1920s.  Amnesia, though, would be an odd reaction to the already strange discrimination phobia.  Definitely a ploy to sell books!
