Q&complAints #592 : Positive Change

What could you do to positively change the world?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! Are you positive you don’t want to though? You can always change your mind.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What could you do to positively change the world?

Christmas: buy gifts.  Birthdays: buy gifts.  Weddings, baby showers, Valentine’s Day, your atheist cousin’s kid’s confirmation: buy gifts.  WTF!?  If it weren’t for gift giving, I think our economy might implode.  It’s no wonder we’re such a consumer-driven society.  I loathe obligatory gift giving simply because some societal mandate dictates I must.  I’m not some pre-ghosts Ebenezer Scrooge who’s purely anti gift giving.  I simply don’t want to be dictated the timing of said gifts.  There’s an individual who attended our wedding in 2009 who still hasn’t given us a gift.  I remind my wife of this from time to time with the implication that I’m annoyed, but truth be told: mad respect.  Let’s all follow this freeloader’s harbinger’s lead—no obligatory gifts!  I’ll give gifts whenever the hell I please.  Maybe I’ll skip my wife’s birthday and Christmas, but shower her with gifts on January 16 in celebration of National Nothing Day.  Better yet, I’ll hide the gifts throughout the house and not tell her about them.  She’ll find them when she finds them.  If she finds them.  Surely I’ll forget where I hid some of them, too.  Poor puppy.
