Q&complAints #222: Personal Statue

Where would you want a carved statue of yourself displayed?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! Anyway, it’s not like I’m gonna build you a statue for one comment.

. . .here are my thoughts.

Where would you want a carved statue of yourself displayed?

At the center of every galaxy is a supermassive black hole.  Weird stuff happens in and around these immense gravity wells.  Black holes contort space so much, not even light escapes.  Thus, nothing but blackness is seen.  Or not seen, as it were.  The outer edge of this blackness is the event horizon.  Perhaps an even greater oddity, though, is that black holes also warp time.  Say I unfortunately got near enough to a black hole that I cross its event horizon.  It would appear to you, safely back on Earth, that I was forever frozen on the event horizon—like a beautiful statue carved from black marble.  From my perspective, however, I’d continue right on into the black hole, pulled inevitably to the infinitely dense center.  Needless to say, I’d be as dead as dead can be in a matter of seconds—if I weren’t already.  But, for the remainder of human existence—in fact, for the remainder of the black hole’s essentially infinite existence—that marble-esque statue of little ol’ me would seemingly endure on the event horizon.  And you thought the pyramids stood the test of time!
