. . .here are my thoughts.

Which two celebrities look surprisingly similar?

It’s time Liam Neeson stops playing action heroes!  The only saving grace for his movie, Memory, is that the 70-year-old man can realistically portray a hitman losing his mental acuity and memory.  That’s not a spoiler—it’s there in the title.  Neeson might have felt like he really was circling the drain into memory loss when he walked onto set intending to film a scene with Guy Pearce, only to see what appeared to be Brad Pitt in the midst of a weeklong binger.

Those two are doppelgangers if ever there were a pair.  Who knows, Pitt may have actually filled in during some scenes considering other questionable symbolism in this movie.  For example, a 14-year-old Mexican girl, repeatedly pimped out by her father, unexplainably draws nothing but desert scenes.  Does this symbolize the bleakness and emptiness she sees for her future?  Perhaps the desert’s sparseness parallels the desolation of an advanced Alzheimer’s patient’s brain.  After being removed from her human trafficking predicament, she’s given a fresh supply of paper and markers—possibly representing a clean slate on which to start anew.  I’d very much appreciate a clean slate absent all memories of Memory.
