. . .here are my thoughts.

What manly trait are you proud of?

A heart attack is a circulation problem.  Oxygen-rich blood can’t reach cells of the heart; some cardiac cells may die, but blood continues pumping … for a little while.  Cardiac arrest is an electrical problem; blood circulation completely stops, so death comes quickly.  Which would you rather suffer from?  Depends.  If spending Monday night on a football field with millions of people watching, and trained health professionals with an AED 30 yards away, choose cardiac arrest.  Monday night quarterbacking on the sofa with pizza and a 6-pack … heart attack, please.  The heart attack will hurt like hell, and have more serious sequela if you live, but at least you’ll have the chance to dial 911 before going unconscious.  Cardiac arrest is the same regardless of gender: loss of consciousness, no heartbeat.  Heart attacks are more gender specific.  Men usually experience an uncomfortable squeezing or pressure in the chest, while nearly half of women experience no chest pain at any time before or during their heart attack.  Absence of this telltale sign is partially responsible for a higher percentage of women than men dying from heart attacks.  Chest pain—a proud, manly trait!
