What would you like to keep for the rest of your life?
Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! But, hey, it’s your life.
. . .here are my thoughts.
What would you like to keep for the rest of your life?
There’s a not too popular saying: “No matter how drop dead gorgeous a woman is, rest assured there’s a man at home who’s tired of [expletive gerund] her.” Come on now! Sexist on so many levels, right? The point being, things change. Beliefs about a person, principle, or political agenda evolve. Whether casting a vote for Trump or Biden that Tuesday after the first Monday in November—once a subjectively sufficient amount of time passes—your disapproval of the past or present administration you support is bound to increase. Similarly, somewhere along the line you’ll also ease up on your criticism of the opposing party’s administration. Politics is a continual regression to and from the mean—the two parties act like a sine wave attempting to equilibrate to a middle ground that’s universally acceptable, yet ultimately nonexistent. In less than 4 years, there’ll be many 2020 Biden voters casting votes to halt the sine wave’s sinister meanderings—sending it back toward the right. I have no clue how I’ll vote in 2024. But for the rest of my life, I’d like to keep an open mind regarding politics.
