After a day of fun, games, and horrible prizes, Ned & Viv get to work. They must ensure everything is in proper working order before Santa arrives—right down to fixing that dripping faucet. Of the millions of sinks Santa could wash his hands in, there’s little chance this will be one of them. Then again, the Big Guy has increased his handwashing rate ever since COVID. Ignaz Semmelweis would be proud. Fun fact: Mrs. Claus designed the first “Employees Must Wash Hands Before Returning to Work” sign in 1846. Before giving elves the go-ahead to produce them in bulk, Santa tested it out by gifting the original to the silliest named man on his list. Needless to say, Mrs. Claus was a little ahead of her time.
