There are 2 types of People in this world:
- Those who slave away in a hot kitchen, making food from scratch, and
- Those who pass off store-bought goods as their own creation.
Just over a week out from the Big Guy’s arrival, Ned and Viv decide it’s about time to make some of Santa’s favorite cookies. That is to say, anything vaguely cookie-related. Gingerbread, Peanut Butter Blossoms, Pecan Snowballs, Snickerdoodle, Red Velvet, Lemon Drop, Shortbread, Pecan Praline, Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies—Santa loves them all. Despite virtually limitless options, Viv purchased a tin of Santa Edwiges Holiday Cookies and a tub of vanilla frosting. It may appear that they’re baking, but Viv simply put the flour in a bowl so Ned could breathe into the empty bag when he inevitably begins to hyperventilate from his excited anticipation of Santa’s arrival. It’s the best they could manage under the circumstances. You see, Ned’s been banned from using stoves and ovens ever since he started that little fire in Chicago in 1871.
There may be 2 types of People in this world … but there’s only 1 Ned & Viv!
