Q&complAints #524 : Christmas Movie

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! And, hey, if you want to call it a “Holiday Movie,” that’s fine, too.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

There are many classic Christmas movies to choose from: It’s a Wonderful Life; A Christmas Story. Then we have the newer era of instant classics: Elf; Spirited (my fav!). Even some in the ol’ miscellaneous category: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation; Die Hard. But it’s only in the movie Violent Night where Santa himself decapitates someone on his Naughty List. That’s not even the most gruesome of The Big Guy’s kills. And we’re talking the real Santa here—a dude with a centuries long history that makes the conman in Bad Santa look like Mother Teresa. He taps into his past using a Thor-like hammer to dole out much of his justice. Not enough films delve into the little-known, seedier aspects of Santa’s life. Even fewer discuss social dynamics of the rest of North Pole life. If that type of information might interest you, read all about it over at Ned’s (& Viv’s) Adventures. Alright you got me! I’ve turned this Q&complAints post into the blatant self-promotion of another section of my website. That’s certainly not enough to get me onto Santa’s Naughty List, though. Just in case, let Santa know I’d like to be cremated.
