Rx #0000029 : CE’s Due Soon

Meds & Counsel without Patience for Patients
Ever heard of Dick’s Last Resort? Never been to the restaurant myself, but I love the concept. It’s like the court jester in medieval times being able to tell the King the harsh truth since everything he said was in—you guessed it—jest. Why has no pharmacy taken up this business practice? If patients expect harsh but fair truth from the pharmacy team, they’ll accept it readily.
Welcome to URxProbablyRxight. The pharmacy of the future where we provide “Meds & Counsel without Patience for Patients.”

CE’s Due Soon

[Rph 1]: “Come on, Marianne, they’re due in 2 days. Cutting it a little close aren’t you?”
[Rph 2]: “Yeah, yeah, I know. I’ll finish my last 2 hours as soon as I get home.”
[Rph 1]: “Go ahead and finish your CE right now, if you want. I can handle everything for the next 20 minutes.”
[Rph 2]: “What? No, I have 2 hours still to finish.”
[Rph 1]: “Yeah, I heard you, but, come on, you don’t actually—. Wait. You actually read the entire articles?!”
[Rph 2]: “Of course I do. I’m amazed you don’t.”
[Rph 1]: “Well . . . I mean . . . yeah I do.”
[Rph 2]: “Oh, cut the shit Roger. You just admitted you don’t. Or do you just think I’m the kind of person who doesn’t?”
[Rph 1]: “Kind of person? No, I just figured everybody skipped straight to the questions.”
[Rph 2]: “That’s odd to hear. Especially coming from you—the one who refuses to be the 2nd to sign off on a C2 order without verifying it yourself.”
[Rph 1]: “Well that’s different.”
[Rph 2]: “How’s it different? You’re okay lying to a state agency, but not a federal one?”
[Rph 1]: “No, Marianne. That’s not it at all. It’s just—you know—I could get fired if, like, they shorted us a bottle of Oxy, then corporate thought I stole it.”
[Rph 2]: “Well they’d 100% have to fire you if the Board of Pharmacy revoked your license for fraudulent CE reporting.”
[Rph 1]: “The Board doesn’t care! Anyway, there’d be no way for them to prove it.”
[Rph 2]: “Hey, Owen. Do you go to classes? Or do you just skip them all and only show up for tests?”
[Intern]: “Well, I miss more classes than I probably should, but, yeah, I go to my classes. Gotta learn the info before I can take a test on it.”
[Rph 2]: “Hmm, imagine that. Mind repeating that one more time—a bit louder.”
[Rph 1]: “I heard him . . . I hear you both.”
