Q&complAints #333: Biggest Lie

What is the biggest lie you’ve ever told?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! I can’t lie to you, though, it’ll hurt my feelings if you don’t.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What is the biggest lie you’ve ever told?

Remember back when we were able to use male gendered terms to describe a heterogendered group of people?  You could say “guys” without someone pointing out there were ladies present as well.  We would never have called that same group of men and woman “ladies,” though, without the men of the group claiming an insult to their masculinity.  Frankly, I’m not convinced I can currently use “ladies” to refer to a group completely absent of men—terminology having changed so rapidly in recent years.  I recently heard a lady (screw it—I’ll take my chances!) say “I don’t know guys …”  Mind you, I had absolutely no idea what the context of this comment was, but the first quip that popped into my head (yet, fortunately, failed to exit my mouth) was:

“You mean sexually?  Neither do I.”

She continued after a slight pause “… but it seems broken to me.”  Since it was already venturing down that path, there was no stopping my mind from thinking up the following responses:

  • He’s probably just not that into you.
  • Maybe it’s Peyronie’s disease.
  • [Or the biggest lie ever] I was in the pool!!
