What is not a good way to show appreciation for someone?
Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! But it would be a great way to show a bit of appreciation.
. . .here are my thoughts.

There’s the old writer’s motto of “Show. Don’t tell.” You can tell the story of the Titanic like this: “They said it’d never sink. It sank.” That takes all the pizzazz and excitement out of it. Like when you finally sit down to watch the replay of a game you’ve spent all day avoiding the results of, only to be shown the score when you pull it up on the app. Fairy tales aren’t told as, “Don’t trust gingerbread house owners wearing pointy hats.” They venture through the full Hansel and Gretel saga before arriving at the teaching moment. “Show. Don’t tell.” Take Thanksgiving dinner, for example. There’s no need to rush to be the first to say, “Everything tastes great!” This only forces everyone else at the table—sans the tired-eyed chef—to immediately concur with the sentiment. People agree even if they haven’t yet tried everything, thus can’t possibly agree that everything tastes great. Don’t be the table’s forcer of faux gratitude. I show my appreciation for a meal by clearing my plate and going back for seconds. “Show. Don’t tell.”
