What is your least favorite holiday?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! But it’d be like a Christmas gift to me if you did.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What is your least favorite holiday?

In the movie You People, a Jewish guy gets into the back seat of a Black woman’s car thinking she’s his Uber driver.  Ezra apologizes, claiming his driver has the same car, and looks just like her.  Amira accuses him of promoting the stereotype that all Black people look alike.  The intended driver’s photo on the ride-hailing app verifies the stereotype holds true … this time.  A fantastic meet cute for a movie—but seriously Amira, lock your damn doors!  This stereotype, however, can be absolutely true.  It’s all about exposure.  Had Ezra primarily been exposed to Caucasian Orthodox Jews, he’d find it easy to differentiate doppelgangers at his synagogue—whether that be from their physical appearance, or from their financial portfolios.  (Speaking of stereotypes …)  On the contrary, if he had rarely encountered Black people, his brain would not have experienced the necessary reps to fine-tune his abilities to differentiate members of that race.  An analogy: your average hiker is unable to differentiate one tree from the next, but an arborist might readily miss the forest for individual trees.  Apologies to all tree aficionados, but as holidays go, Arbor Day is the worst.
