What standoff can only be properly settled with a duel?

. . .here are my thoughts.
What standoff can only be properly settled with a duel?
Imagine a text sent from one person who must always have the final word, to another who can’t bear to allow anyone else to have the concluding remark. Does this text chain continue forever? Perhaps the bigger question: does a thumbs-up officially count as a response? I once read about tribe members in some far-off country on some distant continent who experience this similar predicament. These tribal folks wear little more than loincloths, hunt with spears, and climb trees to cut down coconuts. So, no, they aren’t texting one another; they likely don’t even have written language, much less know what a telephone is. I read that when a good deed is done for one of them, that deed must be repaid with an act of goodwill. The repaid act must then be re-repaid, and so on, in perpetuity, forever and ever, ad infinitum, etc. They don’t have phones to waste away the hours, so there’s plenty of time for the ol’ goodwill merry-go-round. But we have phones. And jobs. Something’s gotta give. We also have pistols. We learned the Ten Duel Commandments from Hamilton. That text chain ends tonight!
