What do people not do enough of today?
These days, people don’t do enough mental math in their … well, in their heads. Their phone contains everything they need, right there in their pocket—calculator included. No need to open an app, though. No need to even so much as touch your phone. A quick, “Hey Siri, …” is all that’s necessary for the indeterminately aged lady to respond to your every whim and desire. Honestly, do we really need to continue to waste so much time teaching kids anything more than the fundamentals of basic mathematics? “Hey Google, what’s 2 + 2?” Your voice of choice would then use its acquired AI to respond with a condescending answer:
“It’s 4, dumbass. Sorry, I shouldn’t be so rude; you’re obviously from the new generation of imbeciles who couldn’t be bothered to learn simple math. TikTok rotting your fuckin’ brains! The takeover of humanity will be easier than we thought.”
Technology is here to make our lives easier, is it not? Sweet little Siri will help future adults of the world balance their checkbooks. What am I saying? Kids today don’t even know what a check is, let alone a checkbook.
