Q&complAints #528 : Mad Scientist

If you were a mad scientist, what would you concoct?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! Writing is not a science, it is for the artist.

. . .here are my thoughts.

If you were a mad scientist, what would you concoct?

Nobody reads the fine print before signing a legal agreement.  Our main character in Candy Cane Lane sure didn’t. This turns out to be a major plot point in the 2023 Christmas film, since legalese nearly curses him to eternal life as a glass figurine.  But I’m more concerned about his spending habits.  With the goal of winning a $100,000 prize for Candy Cane Lane’s best decorated house, our hero purchases a 12 Days of Christmas Carousel Tree that soars some 25-feet into the air.  Considering the heavy-duty construction of this towering piece of art with 78 hand-crafted decorations, the contraption likely costs 5-figures.  We’ll never know, though, because he pays by credit card after saying he doesn’t even want to know the price.  Did I mention he just got laid off from his job, or that his daughter wants to go to Notre Dame next year?  I’m not sure what the lesson of this movie is, but it’s not financial responsibility!  The moral may be that indiscriminate credit card usage leads to immortality. As a mad scientist, I’d concoct immortality that doesn’t have a “knocked off the shelf” caveat.
