Q&complAints #387 : Make Me Cry

What movie was simply made to make you cry?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! I’ll just shed a tear or two … no, no, it’s fine!

. . .here are my thoughts.

What movie was simply made to make you cry?

Not many folks are blessed with the trifecta of looks, brains, and communication skills.  NASA hires based on what’s inside skulls, not whether their exteriors are aesthetically pleasing.  Rightfully so, the director of Good Night Oppy highlights some of NASA’s premier communicators, regardless of their level of outward beauty.  Of course I couldn’t see them all that clearly, because getting through a documentary about space without tears in my eyes would be more amazing than the Opportunity rover’s 90-day mission to Mars lasting more than 14 years!  Moisture began before the opening credits ended.  There’s something about space; gets me every time.  I’m not sure what will beat out Good Night Oppy for the Best Documentary Feature Oscar, but I’ll watch it!  I’m sure to be disappointed, though, since my expectations for it will be … otherworldly.  After saying a fond good night to the Opportunity rover, the documentary showed the launch of its successor.  Hopefully Perseverance will last as long on Mars as Opportunity did.  Fourteen years should be plenty of time for NASA to hire some loquacious, brainiac, supermodels to feature in the forthcoming Perseverance documentary: Lights Out Percy.

  1. I’m crying just thinking about that documentary. Not a dry eye in the Heffron household. So good!
