Q&complAints #377: Disregarded Rule

What one rule in life do you frequently disregard?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! There’s certainly no rule saying you have to.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What one rule in life do you frequently disregard?

Greyhound is a short movie by today’s standards.  Its runtime is listed at 91 minutes.  This relatively low figure is still misleadingly high, as there were more than 11 minutes of end credits.  The film’s really only 80 minutes.  While crossing the Atlantic Ocean, Tom Hanks and the cast of otherwise unknown actors repeated nearly identical actions and dialogue 4 times while defending the Greyhound from German U-boat attacks.  Expunge that redundancy and we’d have a 20-minute shoo-in for Best Live Action Short Film Oscar.  One life rule is to never read 5-star or 1-star reviews.  Stick to the more sane, middling comments.  I frequently disregard this rule, though.  Many people leaving 1-star Google reviews for Greyhound disregarded even paying attention to which Greyhound feed they were posting under.  Here are some excerpts of comments for Greyhound … the film?

  • I just wanted to say in general traveling with this company has been among the WORST experiences of my life!
  • I wouldn’t let my dog travel by greyhound.
  • Still waiting for a refund.

To be fair, that refund might have been for a Greyhound bus ticket, or an Apple TV+ subscription.
