. . .here are my thoughts.

What is the worst movie you have ever seen?

After watching The Disaster Artist some years ago, I took the plunge and watched the film it was based around: The Room.  The rumors are true—horrible film!  It was so atrocious that I can’t add any novel thoughts.  Instead, allow me to focus on the worst movie I’ve seen recently: The Card Counter.  The title immediately conjures thoughts of Blackjack.  While there were bits of Blackjack in the film, it also focused on a plethora of other themes: poker; revenge; relationships; redemption; the constant ordering of alcoholic beverages; gambling explanations.  Random concepts tossed into a cauldron like they were yesterday’s leftovers.  The resulting soup labeled as the day’s “Special”—restaurant code for “about to go bad.”  I generally say I’ll try any food twice, since the first effort may have simply been poorly prepared.  If this film were a soup, though, I would never go back for seconds!  Speaking of “back for seconds,” I’m baffled as to why they sentenced an ex-military interrogator who murdered his ex-military commander to his second stint in a military prison.  They were both civilians when the murder happened.  The Card Counter was a bust!
