What do you enjoy doing for 10 minutes every day?
Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! It really shouldn’t take anywhere close to 10 minutes, though!
. . .here are my thoughts.
What do you enjoy doing for 10 minutes every day?
Items on my “To-Do List” that I enjoy doing daily for 10 minutes or more:
- Write (more like 60 minutes)
- Read
- Study ASL
- Study poker
The day I watched Thoroughbreds, my 10 minutes of poker study was spent breaking down the film’s single poker hand. The intent of the 20-second scene of online poker was to solidify a character’s hallmark trait: her complete absence of emotion. For the casual viewer, this scene was successful. Zero emotion was shown while raking in the $180 pot. I, however, paused the movie to analyze the action. Any poker connoisseurs would quickly complain that the play of the hand makes little sense. Ultimately, our heroine’s huge error was her all-in turn shove of more than 4x pot. She was in what poker players call a “Way Ahead/Way Behind” situation. Thus, the turn shove allowed her opponent to play perfectly—calling with his winning hands, and folding the losers. She should have just called the turn, keeping her opponent’s bluffs in his range. I call on you to go all-in for the remainder of these 10 minutes and compose a COMMENT.
