Q&complAints #247: Sense of Humor

What one word would people use to describe your sense of humor?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! I read them all; your humor will not be wasted on me.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What one word would people use to describe your sense of humor?

Slappable!  It appears that a world-famous comedian can get struck in the face on live, international television for a tame joke about a world-famous actor’s wife.  This despite the safety barrier of fame, and the profession of comedy to hide behind.  As someone who would make a very similar joke, what hope would I have to evade not only a single slap, but perhaps punches and kicks?  The big losers in that whole maelstrom were all the Oscar winners.

  • “Hey, who won the Oscar for Best Picture last year?”
  • “In 2022?  I know Will Smith slapped the shit out of Chris Rock, but I have no idea who won any awards.”

Maybe that’s for the best though.  Of the 10 nominees, CODA was one of only two films I watched prior to the show.  Frankly, I was rooting against it simply because I wanted some of the others to be better than CODA was.  But alas, CODA took home the big prize at the end of the night.  I’ll eventually watch the other 8 films, writing roundabout reviews about them all—careful, of course, to avoid alopecia-related one-liners.
