What keeps you up at night?
Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! I bet you’ll sleep so much better if you do, though.

. . .here are my thoughts.
What keeps you up at night?
I tend to be quite cheeky when answering these questions. Obviously, I don’t think an elevator attendant is the most dangerous job in the world like I wrote in #064. In a rare moment of complete transparency, I’ll answer this question honestly. I don’t like going to bed unless I’m tired. When I lie awake in bed—counting those proverbial sheep—the concept of death worms its way into my head. I begin imagining those very worms decomposing my body as I lie buried in a box. (Okay, that bit was cheeky—I plan on being cremated.) I lie awake, thinking about how easy it is for a human to die. An average of 1.8 people die every second! Cardiac arrest—dead. Traffic accident—dead. But I also think about people in horrendous accidents who escape what seemed like certain death. The human body can be quite keen on staying alive. I’m somewhat comforted knowing that a quick end while I sleep would bypass all the potential for a painful, fearful, exhausting spiral toward death. If it’s my time, then it’s my time. Some people take Ambien to thwart their wakefulness. I prefer bourbon.

Very little keeps me up at night. But back or shoulder pain has done it share of causing some sleepless nights. Coffee would give me a restless night. I do like your cure, glass of wine, martini or a shot of bourbon definitely helps.
Then again, I can usually drink coffee right up until bedtime and still sleep rather well. But chase it with bourbon just in case.
I’m older then you, I should be thinking about that, not you. I think about my grandchildren and what will their lives will be like in our crazy world. I wish them nothing but the best.
I’ll drink a nightly bourbon to that!
