What is the most beautiful word you can think of?
Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! It’s just one word; how hard can it be?!
. . .here are my thoughts.
What is the most beautiful word you can think of?
I remember playing a forgotten board game with a group of friends decades ago. A multiple-choice question asked the definition of the word “Callipygian.” One option was “Having beautiful buttocks.” I chose that answer simply because I wanted so badly for it to be the word’s true meaning. I vowed that if it was correct, I’d never forget the word. It was. I haven’t. Callipygian is the perfect answer to this question—simultaneously sounding beautiful when spoken, and attributing beauty. As with so many things in this world, who to describe as callipygian is quite subjective. Nicki Minaj’s implants are the epitome of callipygian to some folks, while Kate Upton’s flat bottom defines the word for others. What is objectively true, though, is the unwritten rule women agree to when pulling on their yoga pants to venture into public spaces. Ladies are afforded comfort and simplicity in their wardrobe choice. In return, they allow any gawker full display of the outline of their butt. What societal norms don’t yet permit is a verbal attribution of this most beautiful word to the deserving stranger ahead of you in line at Target.
Diane and Sue took the best words
I’m told they share.
The word is family for me. Without my family I would have no reason to live.
What a great word! My word is very simple and the obvious one for many. Actually I have a couple of words, love and joy, to name a few. Love in the way the Bible tells us to love and joy when you finally find that kind of love.
