How do you like to relax?
Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! Just relax . . . no pressure!
. . .here are my thoughts.
How do you like to relax?
A refreshing beverage and a good read. Put one of the 3 or 4 books I usually have going in one hand. A cup of coffee in the other. That’s relaxing. Nothing quite like the aroma of a freshly brewed cup, mingling with that unmistakable new-book smell. With the front and back covers read, I peruse the Table of Contents, Preface, Author Bio, and any other sections preceding or following the book’s main text. Only then do I delve into Chapter 1. I recently finished reading Stuff You Should Know: An Incomplete Compendium of Mostly Interesting Things. Many books begin with a title page, followed by a couple blank pages, maybe a dedication, all before commencing with Chapter 1. Although seldom labeled as such, that title page is generally page 1. Thus, Chapter 1 often begins somewhere around page 6. Not so with this book. The page following Chapter 1’s Title Page was page 1, presumably making the Title Page, page 0. For reasons I cannot pinpoint, this irked me even more than books that pad their page count. Despite that discovery, I was able to inhale deeply, sip my java, and relax.
I need a KitchenAid mixer and 5 lbs of flour to relax. Give me a cup of cappuccino to sip on and that’s all I need. We are all different.
I enjoy sitting on the front porch watching traffic
You do know how to relax. For me it is a nice glass of wine watching Mother Nature do her thing or watch golfers try to hit the ball. I also enjoy a good movie with popcorn or nice cup of tea if cold outside.
All sound acceptable to me.
