How will the world end?

How will the world end?
The sun will become a red giant and envelope the Earth . . . in a few billion years. Of course, when most people hear this question posed, they think about something like nuclear weapons and mutually assured destruction, The Walking Dead type zombie apocalypse, or an asteroid not even Bruce Willis can save us from. Those may spell the end for humans, but we are not the “world.” The average person cares not about the planet itself, but only their place in it. While Homo sapiens are the current kings and queens of this blue and green castle, we weren’t always. And in the cosmic snap of the fingers, our time will end. Earth will not miss us. The planet will persist, likely much better off once we’re gone. Physics tells us how Earth will likely meet its ultimate end. As for what will end our species, the options are vast. Vast, but inevitable. Inevitable, but unlikely to happen tomorrow. But rest assured, some unknown tomorrow will be the final day for our species. We should all get a good night’s rest—it just might be our last.
Well said Deb and Sue. So you mean the world hasn’t ended yet? For some people they feel the world is so messed up it has ended as we once knew it. Me, I believe in afterlife. I believe we can all play in the sand box together. I want to live each day as if it were my last and spread kindness when I can.
Well said Deb. We don’t know when or how it will end. Does the words “End of the World” actually mean when the end of our individual lives end and we pass into the afterlife. It will be the end of our world as we knew it. Who knows what it actually means.
If the entire world ends it will be by our own stupidity. Some nation will put a crackpot in power and he or she will decide the want to rule the entire world not just their little section. They will start some sort of warfare be it biologically or a bomb and try to take us all over and it goes out of control and kills us all.
Horrible thought. Anything is possible
Nobody knows exactly when and how the world will end even though they may have scientific data, information from someone who read their cards, or even use of a wiki board. Live each day like it may be your last, but to an extend. You’re not going to go and spend all of your retirement money today because someone says the world will end soon. You still have to prepare for the future because you may be here for a long time or gone tomorrow. But everyone should start living their lives like it’s your last day and then maybe by the last day, however far away it is, we in at least this world can be united and have peace.
