On Phoebe’s first day at her new job, Ned decides to send her off on her new endeavor with a bit of encouragement. What a sports theme has to do with the legal profession is yet to be deciphered, but it’s the thought that counts. Conspicuous in its absence is any baseball paraphernalia. While Ned has seen all these pieces of sporting equipment in his time spent working in any of Santa’s plethora of niche shops, it’s obvious he doesn’t know anything about sports. Field Goal or Hole-in-One. Double-Fault or Dunk. Slap Shot or Offside. You might as well be speaking in legalese.
