Before departing for the year, Ned & Viv decorate eggs so Phoebe & Brad will remember them every time they open the container. Ned wanted it known that the “believe” sticker is a tribute to Ted Lasso—Santa’s all-time favorite show in the “award winning comedy that should have been considered a drama” category.
The procrastinating elves were still readying to leave as the eggs were converted into Christmas brunch, and the carton dispatched to the refuse bin. Eggs, polystyrene, and stickers aren’t required to remember Ned & Viv. Even if we did forget about them, they’ll still show up without fail on the first of next December. Technically, we haven’t invited them into our home since … frankly, they’ve never been invited. But we continue to welcome them, nonetheless. Consider this an open invitation.

And the adventure ends. Glad they are picked up for the next Christmas season.
