Wanting to assure Santa has as much light as possible for his upcoming visit, Ned and Viv get to work. Seeing as this bulb has been out the entire month, they finally realize it won’t be getting changed otherwise. When the books tower about ⅔ of the way to the light fixture, Ned says to Viv with a wink, “This tower is gonna take forever to build! No, no, no, no—just joking!” Although Viv gives a brief contemplation to the act, she rightfully fears legal repercussions. Thus, the hammer never finds its way into Ned’s ribcage.
