December 21, 2023
December 21 is the official start of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Since it’s also the shortest day, Christmas movies were the only thing on the agenda until the sun rose again. Despite their recent truce on all practical jokes for the remainder of this holiday season, Viv figured Ned would renege. She wasn’t scared by Ned’s mask, although did get the heebie-jeebies from a snowman seemingly smiling while possessing no mouth.
During the second commercial break following their third Hallmark movie’s first near-kiss-interrupted-by-tinsel-related-question, Ned offered his explanation. He claimed the transition from autumn to winter marked the end of the season, thus the end of their truce. Viv had already sussed this out—Ned’s semantics being as easy to surmise as a Hallmark movie’s plot.
Ned and Viv’s adventures are very nice Christmas reading
