Q&complAints #577 : Begrudging Watch

What movie are you not looking forward to, but will begrudgingly watch anyway?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! Whatever–I don’t really want to read a ton of comments anyway.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What movie are you not looking forward to, but will begrudgingly watch anyway?

I didn’t remember much about the first Dune movie, but that didn’t stop me from watching Dune: Part Two with my wife.  Two things I did recall: Spice was of great importance, and those giant sandworms. In the second film, Spice is relegated to little more than a MacGuffin to underpin all the fighting.  Sandworms have been transmuted from creatures to fear and avoid, into powerful weapons that are attracted and ridden to impose fear upon enemies.  We also learned infantile sandworms can be milked, harnessing The Water of Life—the exact benefits of which I’m still thoroughly confused.  And does anybody know what desert sustenance allows sandworms to grow so ginormous?!  This unanswerable question is right up there with how supermassive black holes gained so much mass so early in the Universe.  Some things might never be understood—like why Zendaya’s character wasn’t okay with Chalamet agreeing to marry some other broad for political alliance.  If she had just agreed to share the lovin’ of her curly haired beau, the Dune story could have ended.  Instead, now I’ll have to watch Dune: Part Three—The Suffering
