What is something you will always believe?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! I’ll choose to believe you meant to, but simply forgot.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What is something you will always believe?

When a team loses to the eventual winner in a single-elimination competition—even in the first round—I will always believe they finish tied for 2nd place in the competition.  Who’s to say they wouldn’t have defeated every other team in the tournament.  It was simply unfortunate to have gone up against the best team in an early round.  Many people doggedly root against the team that eliminated them, feeling a loss in a subsequent round would be their just desserts.  This makes absolutely no sense!  That would be strong evidence that your team is not only worse than the team that whooped your ass, but presumably far superior to the team that later defeats them.  By my math, it’s preferential to root for the team that eliminated you to win the whole shebang.  Take Olympic tennis for example.  Let’s say Jane Doe gets an unfortunate draw and loses to BlahBlah Blahbenstein in the first round.  Ms. Blahbenstein goes on to claim gold for her country.  I argue you need a handful of silver metals to put around the necks of the 6 players BlahBlah dispatched.  No need for any silly bronze metals.
