Q&complAints #569: Senseless

What is the most senseless thing someone could do?

Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! Besides, nobody wants to read your senseless gibberish after they’ve read my senseless gibberish.

. . .here are my thoughts.

What is the most senseless thing someone could do?

The oddest thing about The Good Nurse is the number of doctors seen at Parkfield Memorial Hospital: zero.  There were only nurses—both good ones and bad.  The second oddity is the absolute lack of twists in the film.  In a hospital without doctors, you can confidently predict a good number of patients will die.  I could just as surely predict exactly what would happen next in The Good Nurse.  If you like this type of straight-forward storytelling, boy do I have the perfect novel for you!  I assume you read, right?  I mean, other than these 200-word shorties.  Might I suggest my 85,000-word novel, Splash of Color.  It’s unpublishable unpublished, but drop your e-mail into the Comments & Suggestions page and maybe (maybe!) I’ll forward you the PDF.  Or, if you want a double serving of predictability, read the book and watch the movie.  That way you’ll know what’s going to happen, while also knowing what’s going to happen.  The big unanswered question behind the bad nurse’s actions is “Why?” Nine hospitals; 16 years; as many as 400 senseless murders.  The only reasoning he’s ever given: “They never stopped me.”
