What reality TV competition (real or made-up) would you choose to be on?
Post your answer in the LEAVE A COMMENT section below. I’m not the boss of you, though. Don’t write anything for all I care! But I’ve got a rose for you if you do.
. . .here are my thoughts.
What reality TV competition (real or made-up) would you choose to be on?
I use two word-of-the-day apps every day. One of them also provides synonyms, as you might not have guessed given my use of day twice in that first sentence. When I first look at one of the daily diurnal words, I attempt to suss out its definition. I’ve been getting consistently better at this over time. Still, when I try to dictate a coherent definition like any dictionary would provide, I’m left nonplussed, stuttering something like this:
“Well, it’s obviously an adjective … or, yeah, I mean, I guess it could also be used as a noun. But, no, usually an adjective … or an adverb. But, whatever; it means, like, you know, when you’re kinda … I mean, it’d be like if someone were …”
Competitive definition writing would make for an entertaining reality TV competition. Until my rambling passes the 10-minute mark, and the producers call 9-1-1 convinced I’m having a stroke. In reality, often the best I can do is toss out a synonym or two for adjectives and verbs; give a rudimentary description of a noun; or question why the hell adverbs exist.
