. . .here are my thoughts.
What do you consider the most dangerous creature on Earth?
You may have heard it said that hippopotami are the most dangerous creatures on Earth. These highly aggressive and unpredictable animals have uncanny quickness for their substantial size. Hippos can hide under the water with only those beady eyes showing. Considering the mammoth size of their gapping mouths, one bite and almost any creature is a goner. Despite all this, the most dangerous creatures on Earth are not hippos. This dubious recognition goes to the tiny, yet terrifying, mosquito! Mosquitoes are a vector for diseases such as malaria, West Nile virus, Zika virus, Chikungunya virus, and dengue—diseases resulting in more than 1,000,000 deaths each year. If you desire your small monetary gift to do the greatest good possible, donate to an organization such as the Against Malaria Foundation. A $5 donation can provide one mosquito net to sub-Saharan Africa—protecting those sleeping beneath it from deadly mosquitoes for 3-4 years. If, instead, you want to donate to a slightly less worthwhile cause, consider my venture of creating and marketing a new tabletop game: Starving, Starving, ‘Squitoes. Your funds will go largely toward my legal costs when Hasbro inevitably sues.
