What seeming coincidence is anything but?

. . .here are my thoughts.
What seeming coincidence is anything but?
I coincidentally watched The Zone of Interest a few days before visiting the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. I chose the movie from my “to-watch” list at random, not realizing there was such a museum in the U.S. capital. My wife didn’t decide we should attend the museum until after we arrived in D.C. Like I said, coincidence. The film contains a plethora of symbolism and contrast. I only realized the many I didn’t pick up on when reading about the movie afterward. The film managed all this symbolism using only a view from outside the walls of the concentration camp, along with sounds of screams and gunfire echoing from within. Near the end of The Zone of Interest, there’s a short scene inside the current-day Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. Included is a display containing thousands of shoes from the victims of the atrocities. The Holocaust Museum in D.C. has a similar exhibit—however all those shoes had been removed, replaced with a sign stating the display was temporarily closed. What is the underlying symbolism I’m missing here? There’s no way those can all be just a string of seemingly random coincidences.
